Show And Tell Friday
Kelli hosts a show and tell Friday. Do you have a something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better!
Michael's family had a tradition. There was a piece of woodwork in their kitchen that everyone was measured on. It contained measurements of height for Michael and his siblings and then the grandchildren got added. When they remodeled their kitchen, they removed that piece of wood and still use it for measuring the grandchildren on it. Michael's sister, Suzy, asked me if I would make a measuring board for her family. Instead of being attached to the wall, it would be something that they could take with them if they ever moved. Below is the board that I made for them. The first picture is the entire board and the other pictures are what I painted on it.
